Sacrament of Matrimony at Queen of Peace
Through this Sacrament a man and a woman unite themselves in a blessed partnership of the whole of life.

At least one person of this couple must be a practicing and active Catholic, who will rear any children from this marriage as a Catholic Christian. If you are not a registered parishioner and live outside our parish boundaries, you must present a letter of permission from the parish closest to where you live.
Documents required at the time the marriage is scheduled:
1. Sacramental certificates of Communion and Confirmation, and an updated Baptismal certificate for both the Bride and the Groom.
2. If the ceremony is a mixed-marriage i.e. (Catholic and Non-Catholic), please advise the priest preparing you at the time of your initial interview.
3. If you are married by the court, a copy of your marriage certificate.
4. Must be registered at Queen of Peace Parish, or
5. If you are living outside the boundaries of this Parish, a letter of permission from your Parish is required.
6. Donation fee of $200 for registered parishioners.
7. Couples are responsible to obtain a choir for their celebration (a requirement).

Marriage Preparation Ministry
The main purpose of this ministry is to assist the priest in the preparation of couples that are seeking to marry or to convalidate their marriage in the Catholic Church. “For Better and Forever” is a Marriage Preparation program that touches every aspect of marriage. All the classes will also be based on Cannon Law and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
El propósito principal de este ministerio es el de asistir al sacerdote en la preparación de parejas que desean contraer matrimonio o quieren convalidar su matrimonio en la Iglesia Católica. “En las buenas y para siempre” es un Programa de Preparación Matrimonial que toca todos los aspectos del matrimonio. Todas las clases serán basadas en el Derecho Canónico y el Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica.
