and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world" Jn 6:51

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are liturgical ministers who share their love of Christ, especially in the Eucharist. They serve in reverence at the will of Jesus Christ, an of his Catholic Church. They serve Holy Communion to the people of our Queen of Peace faith community when there are not enough Ordinary Ministers (priests/deacons) present.
A recommendation by the Pastor is needed. They must be prepared and trained by the Tepeyac Institute and be commissioned by our Bishop for service here at Queen of Peace. This commission is a three-year period. In addition to Tepeyac training, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must also be Virtus trained with a complete background check, and remain current with all assigned Virtus modules. |
