Queen of Peace hosts Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts at Queen of Peace.
The Boy Scouts of America prepares boys to become responsible, participating
citizens and leaders guided by the Scout Oath and Law. The Scout Oath and Law espouse
high ideals including: belief in God, selfless service, ethics, and morals. The program
employs a challenging outdoor adventure program that promotes self-reliance, leader-
ship, citizenship, and responsibility. Boys lead the program themselves by planning and
executing their activities. The leaders are elected by the boys from within their own peer
group. Adults assist the boys in running their program with adequate, yet limited
guidance, using positive adult associations as a model for young people to make ethical
and moral choices over their lifetimes.
